Artisan cava :
The MASPUJADÓ cellars are located in the Ordal area, in de Subirats municipality which is situated in the Alt Penedès region.
The manor house named Cal Rial whitch is in the above mentioned area, was constructed in the year 1885 for the prodcuter of wine. Later on it was appropriately modified to produce "Cava".
The three varieties of grapes with witch this "Cava" is producted are Xarel.lo, Macabeo and Parellada. These are previously selected and controled by enologists who decide the quality and quantity necessary to acquire the correct grade of acidity thus achieving the best aroma and taste which is a distinguishing feature in the MASPUJADÓ "Cava" .
Once this operation called "Coupage" has been carried out, the bottles are laid out to age in the cellars at a steady temperature until ready for corking, placing of percussion caps and marking. The "Cava" will then be available for the most demanding palates. |
